I don't live in Bakersfield but this is the place I come to eat when visiting. Love the menudo and homemade tortillas with the chili oil, my favorite spot ๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿ‘Œ ๐Ÿ™Œ ๐Ÿ˜

Ive been coming to grandmas for a while now, but after today im not so sure. I ordered 2 tacos and menudo. First of all we found a SHRIMP carcass in a CABEZA taco, how does that even happen? Then as weโ€™re eating the menudo thereโ€™s literally hairs in it :(. Appetite gone. Iโ€™m super disappointed because I really enjoy this place.

I had only been once before this visit and I had a normal experience nothing that stood out. I ordered the machaca with egg plate and this is what I was served which looked and tasted more like birria. We also ordered the chapurrado and it was whiter than me and had the consistency of atole instead. I ate my food because there was nothing wrong with it cooked wise. You can just clearly tell itโ€™s their birria meat. I probably wonโ€™t be going back here.

I had a previous good experience a few weeks back so for Memorial weekend I ordered food for the whole family. Well, it was the worse experience ever. Tamales were hard and extremely greasy. This was a bad a batch but they still decided that it was a good idea to sell it to people. Horrible decision. Bad business. You don't sell inedible food to your customers. Won't be coming back here. Extremely disappointed.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon with my husband for lunch. Parking lot was packed and so was the resturaunt, we had to park on the streets , no biggie. I take crowdedness as a good sign and it was a very good sign indeed..... As you can see from my 5 star rating! Its a tent type restaurant , spacious inside but because they where so packed it felt cramped. I ordered my "go to" which is two chicken tacos and my husband ordered the super buritto. Once we ordered and paid they give you your receipt with an order number and serve the food to you at your table. Nice touch. Everyone was nice and friendly. Grandma was there making tortillas. lunch and a show! The aroma of the freshly made tortillas was amazing ! Our food came out about 10 mins after we ordered. Quick service. Now for the 5 stars! The food alone was worth 5 stars! My husbands asada super burrito was super hefty, filled with tender, juicy and flavorful meat, the rice was so fluffy and fresh , guacamole , sour cream, cheese was all on point. The two tacos where also great! Chicken was flavorful, tender and fresh, they had an amazing flavor to them and honestly I didnt even need any salsa that's how amazing the flavors are
